Complete 1973 Bolex 16mm movie camera set up with case

Click here to see the auction. Currently $510.00.

I'm not a Bolex expert and am selling this for a friend whose husband died. I haven't found any obvious problems and all the speeds seem to be smooth. As you can see by the pictures there is an array of lenses, including a 10mm and a 16-100 zoom. It appears as though the serial number was on a plate which is screwed to the back but all that is left is the plate itself. He had apparently written the number on a piece of duct tape on the side but the numbers have been rubbed off. The paper work included indicates that it's a 1973 vintage. Someone who is more knowledgeable than me perhaps has other methods to date it. I can't warranty this camera in any way. I haven't run any film through it and offer no guarantees. It does show signs of use via missing paint on some edges. All of the glass seems to be clean and scratch free. Please note that shipping is USA only. 1973 Bolex 16mm movie camera set up with metal case H-16 REX-5 16mm Camera OVERALL DIMENSIONS: 9" x 6" x 3" WEIGHT: 6 lbs. 12 oz.; Approximately 8 1/2 lbs with magazine. OUTER CASE: Highly polished duraluminium body, covered in genuine Morocco leather. Metal parts are chrome-plated. FILM CAPACITY: 100ft (30m) daylight loading spools of 16mm film. Saddle accepts 400ft (120m) magazine. THREADING: Automatic threading and loop forming. The end of the film is simply placed in a channel leading to the feed sprocket. The release is pressed and the film is then automatically threaded throughout the entire mechanism. MOTOR: Constant speed, spring motor mechanism; governor controlled. Large winding handle folds downward and attaches to camera when not in use. Spring cannot be over-wound. 8:1 and 1:1 external drive shaft permits the attachment of an electric motor. TURRET: Rotating turret with folding lever; Accommodates three interchangeable RX type C mount lenses; Built-in turret lock lever. VIEWFINDER: 10x magnification; Reflex viewing with semi-reflecting prism system; Groundglass focusing; Adjustable to eyesight. The camera comes equipped with an Octometer viewfinder. FILTER SLOT: Built-in slot holds a gelatin filter behind the taking lens and in front of the shutter. VARIABLE SPEED: 12, 16, 18, 24, 32, 48 and 64 frames per second RELEASE BUTTON: provides for the making of continuous exposures by a finger-tip release on the front of the camera. A side release allows for locked, hands-free running or single frame exposures. VARIABLE SHUTTER: 133 degree variable shutter; Operated manually to decrease exposure time, or with accessory Rexofader to accomplish fade-ins and fade-outs. FOOTAGE COUNTER: adds and subtracts accurately in forward or reverse motion and automatically returns to zero when film is reloaded into the camera. AUDIBLE FOOTAGE INDICATOR: A distinct click announces the passing of each 10 inches of film through the gate. This mechanism may be disengaged, if desired, by simply moving a lever. FRAME COUNTER: Twin dial counts frames individually and in total; Adds frames in forward motion and subtracts when film is wound backwards. Dial may be reset manually at any time. SINGLE FRAME: Time lapse and animation is possible by using the side release button or an accessory cable release and adapter; I-T lever allows for timed or instantaneous single exposures. MANUAL REWIND: Clutch disengages spring motor and permits forward movement and backwind without running down the spring; allows for dissolves and superimposition. FLAT BASE: Contains three tripod sockets: Two 3/8" thread and one 1/4" thread. Front of the base is removable for easy mounting of the Bolex Matte Box. Notes and Comments A built-in saddle to allow the attachment of 400' magazines appeared on the H-16 REX in 1967. In addition, the H-16 REX-5 incorporated the latest improvements of previous cameras H model cameras, such as the flat base, both 8:1 and 1:1 drive shafts and time control knob (as opposed to the older lever-style). The trailing number "5" was used to identify H model camera bodies with the built-in 400' magazine saddle. The 400' capacity magazine could be quickly attached and removed from the saddle mount by a locking hinge. A plate covered the channel opening on the saddle and allowed the Rex-5 to be used as a 100' capacity camera without the magazine. The magazine was driven by small DC motor attached to the takeup on the outside of the magazine and connected to either the MST motor or a voltage regulator (used in conjunction with the Unimotor B). Although the REX-5 was not introduced until 1967, a 400' magazine modification to H-16 cameras (with flat base and 1:1 shaft) was promised to be available by Fall of 1965. Descriptions of this early design suggested it would be possible to operate the magazine with either electric or spring driven motor. [1] However, the REX-5 was ultimately designed to transport film in the 400' magazine with a motor only. Bolex Cameras in the H16 Reflex Series: H16 Reflex, H16 REX, H16 REX-2, H16 REX-3, H16 REX-4 and H16 REX-5. Serial Numbers and Dates of Manufacture The serial number on this model is inscribed on the flat base of the camera body; it can be used to determine the year in which your camera was manufactured. The H16 REX-5 began production in 1966 but was not introduced until 1967.

Leica M9 Digital Camera 10704, Black Paint Finish

Click here to see the auction. Currently $7500.00.

LEICA M9 10704 BLACK PAINT FINISH FULL - FRAME 24 x 36 MM CAPTURE WITHOUT ANY COMPROMISES The combination of an extremely high-resolution sensor, high performance M lenses and careful processing of the digital picture data provides the best picture results under all conditions. The proprietry CCD sensor in the LEICA M9 with18 Million Pixels, allows the utilisation of the full 35 mm format. The sensor of the M9 uses a newly developed cover glass to eliminate infrared light contamination and allows the utilisation of existing Leica M lenses without loss of image quality. The use of external UV/IR filters is not required. INTUITIVE CONTROLS The simple handling and menus of the LEICA M9 allow the photographer to concentrate on taking pictures, not the controls. The key control element of the M9 is an intuitive four-way switch and dial combination used in conjunction with the 2.5-inch LCD monitor on the back. To set the ISO sensitivity, simply maintain light pressure on the ISO button while simultaneously turning the dial to select the required setting. All other functions important for everyday situations are quickly and easily accessible by pressing the set button: white balance, image-data compression, resolution, exposure correction, exposure bracketing, and programmable user profiles. The user profiles can be programmed with any combination of camera and shooting settings, stored under an assigned name, and accessed quickly whenever required for a particular situation. COMPACT, ENDURING PERFORMANCE AND VALUE It is hardly unusual that a Leica, once owned, becomes a lifelong companion. This also applies to the digital M9: In spite of the larger sensor size, the compact housing of the M8 and M8.2 was being retained. With exterior dimensions of 139 x 37 x 80 mm (5.5 x 1.5 x 3.1 in) it maintains the ideal shape of the M camera and becomes the smallest full frame system camera in the world. Its closed, full-metal housing, crafted from a high-strength magnesium alloy, and its top deck and bottom plate machined from large blocks of brass, provide perfect protection for its precious inner mechanisms. The digital components and shutter assembly of the M9 are similarly constructed with endurance in mind. Free firmware updates ensure that the camera benefits from the latest technology. In short: The Leica M9 is an investment for a lifetime. WORKFLOW Included with the LEICA M9, is a license for Adobe Photoshop Lightroom, a professional digital workflow solution available for both Mac OS X and Microsoft Windows operating systems. The software is a free download for LEICA M9 customers, to guarantee that the most current version is always available. THERE ARE NO REFUNDS. THE $120.00 HANDLING FEE IS BASED ON INSURANCE OF THE CAMERA DURING DELIVERY.

CANON 500MM IS f/4L LENS – - PRISTINE CONDITION

CANON 500MM IS f/4L LENS PRISTINE CONDITION

Click here to see the auction. Currently $5000.00.

Up for auction is my pristine condition Canon 500mm IS lens. I bought this lens in July of 2008. It is a USA model with the date code UW 0526 which is May 2008. This lens has had the LensCoat on it since the day that I received it. The LensCoat is part of the auction and costs right at a $100 off of eBay. I am an amateur photographer and have only used this lens in my yard and on one trip to a wildlife preserve. It worked flawlessly on my 40d and 1Ds2 bodies. I don't use it enough to justify having it live in my closet so it needs to go to a photographer who will really use it. I am accepting PayPal (verified addresses only) or certified funds (POSTAL MONEY ORDER ONLY) which are due 7 working days after the auction closes. Bidders with little to no bid history, contact me before bidding. Absolutely no international bids including Canada. Shipping, handling, and insurance is $50 to buyers in the lower 48 and will be more for HI or AK. Scammers don’t bother to bid trying to pay with bogus checks for more than the winning amount. Thanks for looking!
