Up for auction is a Leica Black Paint LHSA M6 with a .85 viewfinder. However, this is not a musuem piece, this was my everyday shooter. If you are a Leica fondler, you may want to move on to the next auction. The camera is in excellent condition, the optics are clean and clear and the shutter is snappy. The meter is spot on. Don Goldberg (DAG) added Leica's upgrade to deal with the flaring in the VF--I don't have the receipt for that. He also tested the camera to make sure it was functioning to specification--I do have the receipt for that. The camera has had the M3/MP film rewind installed, as I prefer that version. The new style lever will be included. This camera has a black Leica dot--please see my other auctions for a spare. The camera has marks in the paint from actually being used--there are strap marks on each side and a tiny mark on the battery compartment cover. These are from the camera being used as a photographic tool, not from excessive fondling or from being constantly moved around in a display case. The rewind shows normal brassing from--are your ready for this?--rewinding film. As you will notice, there is no piece of plastic on the baseplate--that was the first thing I took off. The baseplate, however, is in amazing condition, as I put an M-Grip on the camera the first day I owned it. The boxes have some scuffs and scrapes. This isn't important to you, is it? But, if you want a brilliant picture taking machine and a beautiful camera that is aging gracefully, look no further. Please look at the photos carefully, as there will be no returns. Paypal is best.
