This production Super-16 camera package is totally complete, in flawless condition and you only need film stock to start shooting your movie. This camera was always personally owned and has never been rented. It is a very late model SR-1 with SR-2 electronics so that it has twin Fischer power ports on the rear of the camera base. This camera was last overhauled by Axel Broda and a short while ago it was used to shoot a Zac Efron film in Georgia, The Derby Stallion. The quality of originally shooting in the 1.85:1 aspect ratio on Super-16 film stock and then posting via a digital intermediate yields more than ample screen quality for 35mm theatrical release prints, a direct to DVD release or 16X9 HDTV. This Super-16 camera package is smaller, lighter weight and far more robust than a Red camera and has none of the digital quirks that quite often lead to delays when shooting with a Red. Red’s sensor is limited to the native 320 ASA and gets very noise at low-light levels. With film, if you want to shoot in low-light, just use a faster film stock for glorious results! The Super-16 ground glass was, of course, new and is marked for 1.85, 1.78 and 1.33 aspect ratios. Their modification was done in 2002, so the camera has been successfully shooting Super-16 for eight years. In 2005, Axel Broda went through the camera, thoroughly cleaned and lubricated it, verified flange/focal depth and checked everything else. The Super-16 Optex conversion to the Zeiss zoom lens was done by ZCG in New York in 2005. The 5.7mm prime lens was collimated by Stuart Rabin at Focus Optics in LA following the mount modification.

This auction is for a “Like New” Hasselblad H2D Digital camera body with a Hasselblad 22 MP resolution magazine. The camera will include the basic H2D body, a Hasselblad 22MP digital back, viewing prism, body cap, and Hasselblad neck strap. No lenses or accessories are included in this auction, but a wide selection are available elsewhere on E-Bay. I also have a complete set of lenses available, but they must be sold as a complete set only, no individual selections. The set of lenses would include the 28, 35, 80, 50-110 Zoom,120 macro, 300 tele, and 1.7x convertor. (R259, & 2.2.2) The cosmetics are flawless, with not a scratch, dent, or mark to be found. This unit is in truly Mint Condition with minimum usage. A wide selection of premier Hasselblad lenses can now be found on E-Bay to build your specific dream system at a fraction of the original cost. Digital camera development over the past few years has focused on megapixel count, and the current marketplace has units that can exceed 60 megapixels. Now that they have reached such a high level, everyone is backing up a few steps and looking at sensor, and photosite size to reach optimum quality. This camera has 22 MP with the full size 36mm x 48mm Sensor which yields one of the largest pixel sizes to do a better job of gathering light to produce the finest quality output. You can be deceived by just considering MP count, and disregarding the overall sensor size. The large sensor size will also enhance the wide angle spectrum of photography for landscape and nature photo buffs. The new firmware updates allow usage of the newest Hasselblad series of digital specific lenses like the 28 HCD and 35-90 HCD Zoom, and any other future offerings. This auction is a relist, caused by children playing on mom’s computer. Please just contact me if you are new to eBay, before bidding. Hundreds of people are interested in this equipment, and we can’t have kids goobering the works–kinda like a star party situation. One other point of order: Beware the hacker listing for a 16″LX200 that keeps popping up. It has photos from a listing from last year (on pier, in garage, lady in some), and oddly the bid button is deactivated; he wants you to email him to make payment on a new listing he will make for you. If you see this listing, please report it to eBay. Now–to business. The only mfgr specs I found in the eBay database, which should be displayed above, are for the LX200ACF; This instrument is actually the LX200GPS, with what Meade calls UHTC (Ultra High Transmission Coating). The ACF is Meade’s new model, however I don’t see any difference in the performance specs. Last year I saw the LX200GPS with Alt/Az pier selling for over $16,000 (same as the ACF). Also, there is a typo in the ACF spec’s above; the mount obviously IS motorized. Very, very, rarely will you find a 16-inch LX200 on eBay, GPS or otherwise. This one was installed in the local Dayton astronomer of note Chester D’s domed observatory, on his house. He unexpectedly passed away, the house was sold, and I obtained the instrument from the folks who were purchasing the house. It has a 30″ Alt-Az pier, a $1900 accessory alone if bought through Meade (some finish rust showing on weld grinds). You could easily add a wedge of course for an equatorial mount. It will also come to you with a 26mm EP, 50mm finder, objective dust cover, and the metal dew shield ($350 list) shown in some of the photos. Other than a bit of exterior grime and oxidation on a few accessory screws from being under the dome, the instrument is in excellent condition, and fully functional. Because Chester was using an Alt-Az mount, he has a Meade De-Rotation accessory (Model 1222 (not the cheaper 1220), currently selling for $1000) installed for long exposure photography. It connects to the control panel with a standard phone cord, but I don’t have a coiled cord handy so I haven’t tested this (not sure how I would know it was working anyway, since I’m not set up to take time exposures.) If you end up with a polar mount, or don’t take time exposures, you wouldn’t need this. The Meade electronic micro-focus works great, from the AutoStar handbox control. For that matter, EVERYTHING on this beast works great. The Auto Align function does everything, including the GPS fix, and after you center the requested two stars, the alignment thereafter is amazingly accurate. My goto objects were all within view with the 26mm eyepiece, and the literature says that even better results are produced after you perform the calibration routines. My experience is limited to setting it on a cart (see photos) and using an automotive battery jump pack with a pocket inverter to test it in my driveway. We looked at the Orion Nebula last night, and it knocked our socks off. Really, almost literally, knocked our socks off. You are welcome to pick this up here from us in Dayton. Or after the auction payment is received we can turn it over to a local packing and shipping company with whom you can separately make your arrangements. I will disassemble the mount and prep the instrument for this process for you, if you choose not to pick it up. I would guess that packing the optics and palletizing the shipment will run between $100 and $200; the actual transportation will vary greatly depending on whether or not you want the heavy pier included, whether you want freight or van line carrier, etc. I would guess that most locations in the lower 48 could be reached for a few hundred dollars. Need Money to Finish Documentary This beautiful camera was bought 1 year ago to make a documentary film about Cuban Exiles living for 3 generations in America. We only shot 4 interviews and some B-roll; only 14 hours total time on the camera. The funding didn’t come through to pay for the trip to Cuba and now I have to sell the camera to raise money and finish the film on my old Canon HV20 HD mini camera. Camera is in perfect condition; the base is not even scratched from the tripodmount.
