I have this and several other cameras I inherited from my Late Grandfather Captain John B, Fitzpartick. Among them is a Chrome Nikon Nippon Kogaku SP with a Titanium shutter S/N: 6215550 This camera is in perfect working order, but it has been fairly used. He bought nothing but the best and maintained his stuff. Photography was one of his passions, He was Captain of the then largest drill ship in the world for Standard Oil Corp, He sailed around the world many times and took many photos with this camera. Later as a Captain of a cable ship for PanAm, he recovered film canisters ejected from the Corona Spy Satellite (the worlds first spy satellite), and this camera was there to capture those images. This Nikon was actually purchased in Japan where he met and was married to my grandmother. Before he passed, he wrote a book that detailed his vast life on the sea, it will be published in the future when the editing is complete. I hope to sell this to someone that will appreciate it as much as he did. All of the items are a little dusty from storage and could use a cleaning.I ship Priority Mail.International shipping available.God Bless and Happy Bidding! On Feb-19-10 at 12:33:16 PST, seller added the following information: I would also like to add; I am not a camera collector, I do not know much about vintage cameras, all I know is the cameras history and a little about what I have here from what people have told me. I would like to make a correction the 5cm lens does have some small marks on the front of the housing from use. All other representations are accurate from what I have seen. All of the items may need to be dusted/cleaned. I have not done any of that as I am not a professional and I do not know about the proper care of these items. When I total up what the camera and lenses have been selling for in the same condition from what I have been told, I come up to $4,500. Then you have all the peripherals. The Hoya Lenses and skylight have been going for at least 39 a piece on here. If anyone has any questions, or needs more photos, please feel free to message me any time!
