This V1U is in pristine cosmetic and operating condition. I purchased it new two years ago, and only used it twice. There isn't even a fingerprint on this camera. See the picture showing condition and operating hours! Shortly after purchasing the camera package I ended up getting a job at a Film School, and from that point on I could use whatever camera I wanted, so the V1U stayed in the closet. I have also listed the Sony Firestore for this camera (permitting to shoot 4:2:2 onto HDD) in a separate auction. The camera comes with a few accessories: Protecting the lens is a Tiffen Clear filter that went on the moment the camera came out of the box. Furthermore there is an original Sony SHL-35WBP LCD Hood, and a KATA rain cover designed for the V1U. This camera sells new on B&H for $3295. Up for auction is this excellent condition Sony PMW-EX1 XDCAM camera which shoots true HD - no HDV here! The quality of this picture is stupendous! As you can see from the photos, the camera has only been used for 17 hours - we shot three 3-camera classical music concerts with this particular camera. It originally came with an 8GB SxS Sony card, which we have upgraded to a 16gb card, good for 57 minutes of true HD shooting. The camera holds two cards, and the switch-over is automatic from card A to card B - this yields almost two hours of continuous shooting, and the system drops no frames in the process. We are also including an extra large BP-U60 battery, which will power the camera for around 7-8 hours.This battery alone is $267.00, and the 16gb card is $529.95 from B&H Photo - Very significant extras!
