This lens is a rare black paint lens. Aperture works great and has no oil. Exterior of the front and rear elements are in excellent condition free of scratches. When you look through the lens you see some minor cloudy marks that all appear to be on the interior elements on the interior side of the exterior elements. There is also some minor dirt. I do not feel the cloudy marks are to the degree that they will impact image quality. I have seen and used other leica M mount lenses that had far more and heavier cloudy marks that did not seem to impact picture quality even when shot side by side with a pristine lens. Focus is nice and smooth as you would expect. Aperture ring is also smooth and stops positively at all detents. Sorry I have no caps for this lens but it will be packed very, very, carefully for shipment. Attention ALL bidders SHIPPING INFORMATION AND CONCERNS Shipping costs are available simply by using the SHIPPING CALCULATOR TAB in the auction listing. DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT ask me for shipping costs. I will answer questions and give shipping costs for combined item shipping. Otherwise I do NOT have time to answer shipping questions you could answer simply by using the calculator contained in each listing. I DO NOT use Fedex or UPS so please do not ask. Shipping services and options, AS LISTED are NON-NEGOTIABLE. Do not I repeat DO NOT waste my time or yours asking me to ship in a different manner than listed. The ONLY exception I will make is if you want me to combine items. Just tell me what items you want to combine and I will give you a quote. If the specific services and costs I list for each item in each listing are NOT satisfactory for you please do not bid. Shipping insurance is included in the shipping costs for all services except first class international. Should an item have a final ending price significantly higher than I expect, or the winner has feedback issues, or is in a risky country for me to ship, I RESERVE THE RIGHT TO CHANGE SHIPPING COSTS AND METHOD. In this case I will either return your payment in full and issue another invoice with the appropriate charges, or issue a separate PAYPAL request for additional payment. Your item will NOT be shipped until payment is sent. Please not my need to change shipping methods and costs is VERY RARE. I will need to do this less than 1% of the time. I am an expert in all aspects and vintages of photographic gear. I track EACH item, and its FULL cosmetic AND operating condition from the time I acquire it, when I photograph it for auction, when I create the listing and MOST importantly EACH item is tested for function, etc., literally, RIGHT BEFORE I put it in the shipping box and seal it shut. I record all this information in a log should it be needed for legal purposes. If your item arrives in different condition cosmetically, operationally or DOA than my auction pictures and description that means it was damaged in shipment. I URGE all buyers to assess and test their item immediately or ASAP after receipt. Contacting me promptly, about problems with a calm, respectful description of the problem will go a LONG way in helping me make a decision that is favorable for all concerned. Filing paypal or ebay disputes without taking the time to try and work things out might cause me to pursue legal action. I also consider leaving negative feedback to be a high risk proposition for the buyer. I am pretty hardcore and will pursue legal action over libelous and false claims whether the item costs .01 cents or $10,000. I don't mean to sound like a hardass but I have zero tolerance for any kind of foolishness. Ebay has changed dramatically in recent years and I have grown weary of all the abuse that some buyers heap upon sellers. Let it be known right now, I have ZERO tolerance. USA shipping will be $35 including full insurance. INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING WILL BE VIA EXPRESS MAIL ONLY and cost with full coverage will be $45. I will NOT under ANY circumstances ship this lens internationally any except express international.
