The lens was only used by one person, me. I used it in a professional setting less than ten times. In every way the lens is exactly as I purchased it. There are absolutely no defects of any kind. For the dedicated Stereo Photographer -- A camera from my personal collection. This camera has 4 distinct advantages: 1) It is a Verascope - considered by many to be the Rolls Royce of the Stereo cameras. 2) It is a 7p camera, ie the film formate is not the square-like format of the 5p Realist format (it is wider -- 28mm masked width vs. 21mm for the realist). It has been reworked by Jess Powell. Among other things, Jess has painted the internal surfaces matte black, eliminating internal reflections and associated flare. Also Jess has created a pair of custom sun shades which are included. 4) The original lens board has been replaced by a board featuring extra sharp Kodak Ektar lenses 44mm f/3.5. This modification was also done by Jess Powell. A photocopy of Jess Powells instructions is included -- camera is fitted with standard PC Plug for modern electronic flash. Jess Powell, an expert on the Verascope, swears by the Ektar modification on the F40 and believes this modification makes this camera one of the sharpest stereo cameras available today. Tripod and cable release is included.
