In absolutely near mint condition. Looks to have almost never been used. Black finish with built in viewfinder, spirit level and built in Zeiss Hologon 15mm F8 static lens. Complete with its original handle, original cable release, centre weight filter, body cap, original black leather outfit case and original matching box. I have seen many Hologons and many of them are worn and in fair condition or worse. But this one is in excellent condition complete with all these extras. In stunning condition overall. Virtually no marks on the black finish, lugs are clean and all the leatherette is intact. The only noticable mark is a very faint mark on the back of the top plate just to the left of the finder. Camera serial #57100. Lens serial # 5098814. The Hologon ultrawide was the most exotic of the Contarex and Zeiss lenses. Even Leica commissioned Zeiss to make a Leica fit Hologon 15mm F8 which sells for well over $8000. This is the static lens with the fixed Contarex camera. Working perfectly. Optically clean and clear. The lens is in perfect condition. Always protected with its front lens cap cover. An absolute gem. I cannot stress the rarity enough! Not only that but it Comes with a front lens cap to accomodate the centre weight filter too. I’ve sold nearly a dozen of these cameras over the years and this is onyl the second time I’m ever seeing a front cap for the filter. Truely a must have for any collector or enthusiast.
